Mr. Seow Eng Tin was a Manager and was a Director of the Chinese Commercial Bank, Limited and owned land in Johore. Mr. Seow Eng Tin passed away at the age of 55 on 17 October 1929. His address was stated as 75 Neil Road.
He leaves behind a widow,
two sons, Messrs. Seow Tiong Teck and Seow Tiong Soo,
one daughter, Mrs. Koh Kong Guan,
one grandson and 2 granddaughters.
When Mr. Seow Eng Tin passed away the left a large amounting to $190,000 in Singapore and $152,000 in Johore.

Mrs. Seow Eng Tin, nee Madame Tan Keng Neo, died at her residence. No. 75, Neil Road, Singapore at the age of 56 on 11 September 1935. Madam Tan Keng Neo leaves behind two sons, Messrs. Seow Tiong Teck and Seow Tiong Soo (both of the Universal Motor Accessory Co.) and one daughter, Mrs. Koh Kong Guan, 1 son-in-law, 1 daughter-in-law and 4 grandchildren.

Bold Impersonation
A chinese hokkien man sporting a mackintosh and fashionable felt hat entered the Chinese Commercial Bank, Singapore in December 1919 and presented a dividend warrant for $750 at the counter. Claiming to be Seow Eng Tin, but was later caught by a sharp bank Manager who telephoned the real Seow Eng Tin. The imposter was later taken into custody. The article also mentions that Mr. Seow Eng Tin was a former manager of the Chinese Commercial Bank but in 1919 a Director of the Hoe Aik Steamship Co. Singapore.

Estate battles and auctions
In 21 December 1934, Madam Tan Keng Neo put out a advertisement removing his son, Seow Tiong Teck from being able to act on her behalf on his belated father's estate. Madam Tan Keng Neo was granted probate and executioner of her late husband's estate on February 21, 1930. Seow Tiong Teck passed away at the age of 75 on 21 August 1976.
In an auction notice dated April and August 1933, Seow Eng Tin had land in No. 15, 16. Jalan Station in Kluang, Johore with each at 1,800 sq ft as well as 42 acres of land in Johore Bahru which are planted with mostly rubber trees. This indicates that Mr. Seow Eng Tin had a number of properties both in Singapore and Malaya.
