Song Tian Choe and Sng Seng Neo (Bukit Brown)

The tomb of Mr. Song Tian Choe and Madam Sng Seng Neo have been overgrown and unvisited for years. The headstone of Madam Sng Seng Neo unfortunately was broken but the beautiful ceramic photo of her remains. From their tombs, the names of their children are as follows;
Son: Song Guan Huat
Daughters: Song Kim Lian, Song Kim Juan
Fortunately based on this information, i can find out a bit more about their families from the newspaper archives. 

Mrs. Song Tian Choe (nee Sng Seng Neo) passed away at the age of 47 on 5 November 2602 (1942). She leaves behind 1 son and 2 daughters. The funeral took place on 7 November 2602 from 63, Siang Lim Park to Bukit Brown. 

Madam Sng Seng Neo 

Mr. Song Tian Choe has been long associated with Lian Kee Kok (likely a Mutual Help Association )for many years. There was mentioned of a quarterly general meeting's by Lian Kee Kok held at Mr. Song Tian Choe's residence at 326 Geylang Road (1931,1932, 1933, 1938).

Mr. Song Tian Choe passed away on the 24 September 1941 at the age of 50.

Mr. James Song, son of the late Mr. Song Tian Choe, of Katong, Singapore and ward of Mr. and Mrs. W.G. Steven, Kuala Lumpur married Miss Shirley of Northwood Middlesex in December 1959. Mr. Song was the photographer to the Oxford University or was it Cambridge University Hannibal expedition over the Alps in July. Mr. John Hoyte, leader of the expedition was his best-man. A divinity student with the London College of Divinity, Mr. Song expects to be ordained in September 1960.  The "Hannibal Expedition" is a reenactment of the 218 BC feat that Hannibal and his elephant cavalry climbed the Alps to attack the Romans. James Song, then 25 was the official photographer of that said expedition and a real elephant by the name of Jumbo (an 11 years old female elephant) was borrowed from the Turin Zoo for this. 

Rev. James Song (34 years of age in 1966)  became the first Chinese to be in charge of an English parish after being appointed Vicar of Holy Trinity Church, Matlock, Derbyshire. Born in Singapore where he lived until the war, he went to school in Melbourne. He came to England as a medical student but found his real vocation as a Pastor. From his marriage to Shirley Tigg, they have a son and a daughter.

Madam Molly Song Kim Juan passed away at the age of 60 on 6 October 1996 . She leaves behind;

Molly Song Kim Juan

Mother: Mrs. Song Kim Swee nee Wee Guan Neo
Mrs. Song Kim Swee (alias Wee Guan Neo) passed away at the age of 56 at 1 Martine, Lane on 28 May 1927. She leaves behind her husband, 
4 sons: Song Tian Choe, Song Teck Hee, Song Choo Cheng and Song Teck Chuan
5 daughters, 
1 daughter-in-law: Mrs. Song Tian Choe 
5 sons-in-law: Chan Siew Jin Seet Chee Bee, Sng Cheng Hin, Khoo Boon Chew and Tan Soo Chim and 15 grandchildren. She is buried at Bukit Brown.

Parents-in-law: Sng Toon Ghee and Tan Kow Neo
Sng Toon Ghee passed away at the age of 51 on 12 April 1923 at 11 Lorong 9 Gaylang, Singapore. He is the father of Meesrs. Lim Cheng Peck, Sng Cheng Hin and Sng Cheng Hee and father-in-law of Mr. Song Tian Choe.
Madam Tan Kow Neo (wife of the late Mr. Sng Toon Ghee) passed away on 26 August 2602 at her residence, No 63 Siang Lim Park, Syonan-to. She leaves behind 3 sons, Lim Cheng Teck, Sng Cheng Hin and Sng Cheng Hee, 1 daughter, Mrs. Song Tian Choe, 2 daughters-in-law, 10 grandchildren. She was buried in Alexandra Cemetery.
