This is another beautiful tomb that use to reside in Bidadari Cemetery. It belongs to a Mr. Cornelis de Lozanne. The stone bust of Cornelis de Lozanne sits on a pedestal and is sheltered by a a stone cupola or pergoda of some sort, with beautifully designed beams and arches. Unfortunately i am not able to make out the etching on the tomb. I am very fortunate to able to see this unique stone bust and structure when it was still in Bidadari Cemetery. (This was made possible from the photo contributions [1, 2 & 3 ] of Liesel Strauss to NLB).
Reading the wonderful and resourceful book, titled Spaces for the Dead, A Case for the Living, i got some more information about Cornelis de Lozanne. The inscription reads;
Sacred to the memory of my beloved husband, born in Hoist, Zeeland Holland 20 January 1860 and died here deeply regretted on 19 March 1912.
Cornelis de Lozanne was 52 when he passed away and according to the research done, his address was listed as 5 & 7 Beach Road.
