Tan Bah Chee passed away on 27 June 1940. On his well maintained marble tomb are the names of his children;
Son: Tan Ban Choon
Daughter: Tan Kit Chee
From the burial registrar, Tan Bah Chee passed away at the age of 51. (Hokkien)
