Mrs. Tay Kim Hock nee Madam Tan Geck Liew (Bukit Brown)

Mrs. Tay Kim Hock nee Madam Tan Gek Lwee passed away at the age of 73 at her residence, No. 11 Sam Leong Road on 13 August 1936. She leaves behind;

1 son: Tay Peng Yong

4 daughters, 2 daughters-in-law, 1 son-in-law, 1 grand-daughter-in-law and several grandchildren.

Tay Peng Yong was a clerk at the P. & O. Banking Corporation Ltd. From a 1938 and 1939  article, i found out he once had financial issues and was declared a bankrupt under the Wage-earner's Administrative order. Tay Peng Yong was the hon. club superintendent of the Wales Minstrels (they had music practice at his residence, 19 Sam Leong Road) and avid footballer.
