After helping to push up the fallen headstone of Mr. Lee Soon Hee and finding out the name of the person buried here, i found out further while researching about this family, that this story is one of tragedy. Husband, wife and eventually their only child, all passed away in that order in 1927 (May, September, November).
Lee Soon Hee passed away at the age of 50 at his residence 45 McCallum Street on 17 May 1927. He is the father-in-law of Mr. Gwee Kim Keng. His wife, Madam Soh Siok Lian Neo only outlived her husband by a few months. She passed away on 27 September 1927 at the age of 48 at 45 McCallum Street. She leaves behind her only daughter, Lee Hock Neo and son-in-law, Mr. Gwee Kim Keng. Lee Hock Neo passed away at the age of 30 on 19 November 1927.

Daughter: Lee Hock Neo
On 28 November 1922, a marriage took place at 45 McCallum Street between Gwee Kim Keng (eldest son of Mr. and Mrs, Gwee Cheng Lee) to Lee Hock Neo (eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Soon Hee). Madam Lee Hock Neo (wife of Mr. Gwee Kim Keng and daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lee Soon Hee passed away at the age of 30 at her residence No. 45 McCallum Street. She was buried in Bukit Brown (Hill2 Division F, plot 405).
Father-in-law: Soh Hong Seng
Soh Hong Seng passed away at the age of 73 at 21 Tank Road, Singapore on 16 March 1921. He is the father of Messrs. Soh Eng Lim, Soh Eng Siang, Soh Eng Bock and father-in-law of Lee Soon Hee . He is buried at the Private Burial Ground at Upper Serangoon Road.
