Tay Bah Chee (Bukit Brown)

Mr. Tay Bah Chee passed away at the age of 45 on 10 April 1935. He is the father of Miss Tay Annie and Mr. Tay Billy. There was an article reminding members of the Chinese Friendly Association to note that the the funeral of Mr. Tay Bah Chee, 4 Cheng Tuan Street is to take place on 14 April 1935. 

But what really caught my eye was the sign or a placard with the words Remembrance Service - Bukit Brown - Tay Bah Chee and also remnants of burnt offerings in front of its courtyard. This is possibly a sign that the descendants of Tay Bah Chee have decided to "move house" for him. In short to exhume him and move his remains somewhere else.
