Mrs. Seah Eng Lim nee Madam Tan Siew Kim (Bukit Brown)

The marriage took place on January 1911 between Mr. Seah Eng Lim (son of Mr. Seah Peck Seah) and Miss Tan Siew Kim (sister of Tan Joo Khoon). 

Mrs. Seah Eng Lim alias Madam Tan Siew Kim passed away at the age of 42 at her residence, 42 Orchard Road on 22 February 1935 leaving behind her husband, 1 son, 1 daughter, 1 son-in-law (Mr. Tan Lye Sia), 4 brothers, Tan Joo Seng, Tan Joo Soon (Sub-contractor, Sir John Jackson, Ltd Naval Base), Tan Koon Yam, Tan Joo Kee, 2 sisters, several nephews, nieces and 6 grandchildren. 

Mr. Seah Eng Lim and family tender their heartfelt thanks to relatives, friends, the Happilads' A.P. , Faternal B.P., Pasir Panjang Party who paid night visits, sent wreaths, etc. for the funeral of the late Mrs. Seah Eng Lim alias Madam Tan Siew Kim.

Husband: Seah Eng Lim 
Seah Eng Lim was the Chairman and Managing Director of the Sze Hai Tong Banking Insurance Co. Ltd. Board of Director for the Malaka Pinda Rubber Ltd. 

The Sultan of Kelantan arrived by train in February 1924 and stayed at the house of Seah Eng Lim at 198 Orchard Road. 


Brother-in-law: Tan Joo Khoon 
Seah Eng Lim is the brother-in-law of Mr. Tan Joo Khoon.  
Mr. Tan Joo Khoon passed away at the age of 44 on 31 July 1926 at No. 393 Beach Road. Tan Joo Khoon was with the Master Attendant's Office and leaves behind a widow, 4 sons, 2 daughters and a daughter-in-law and also;
5 brothers: Tan Joo Seng, Tan Joo Sung, Tan Joo Eng, Tan Koon Yam, Tan Joo Kee
Madam Tan Siew Kim is a sister of Mr. Tan Joo Khoon. 

Mother: Mrs. Seah Peck Seah nee Madam Tan Soo Heok
Mrs. Seah Peck Seah nee Madam Tan Soo Heok (wife of Mr. Seah Peck Seah) passed away at the age pf 69 on 23 July 1933 at 8:10 pm at 40 Orchard Road. She leaves behind;
6 sons: Seah Eng Lim, Seah Eng Chiang, Seah Eng Kiang, Seah Eng Kwang, Seah Eng Guan and Seah Eng Cer
7 daughters: Mrs. Tan Cheng Joey,  Mrs. Tan Boon Kiah, Mrs. Low Peng Soy, Mrs. Tan Boon Yon, Mrs. Tan Chin Boo, Mrs. Sim Khee Mui 
and numerous grand and great grandchildren. 

Daughter: Mary Seah Chek Khim / Mrs. Tan Lye Sia
Mary Seah Chek Khim is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Seah Eng Lim. Mary Seah passed away on 6 April 2003 at the age of 95. 
Tan Lye Sia Peter passed away at the age of 52 on 21 July 1957 at 117 Buffalo Road. He leaves behind his mother, wife, 
4 sons: Tan Chye Tiam, Tan Aye Tiam, Tan Hoo Tiam, Tan Poh Tiam
8 daughters, 
3 sons-in-law: Eng Liat Kiang, Ng Song Hoe, Chan Hung Swee
8 grandchildren. 
The cortege left the residence for the Church of Sacred Heart and later Bidadari Cemetery
