Death and Auctions
Yap Geok Song passed away in March 1928 due to heart failure. One of the notices that caught my eye was the sale of the late Yap Geok Song's property at No 18, Jiak Kim Street, or one of his godowns by The Straits Settlement of Singapore. One of Yap Geok Song's estate land in Choa Chu Kang was also put on auction to collect back the Land Collection Revenue arrears of $986.50 owed to the Land Office in 1934. The executors of his estate are Tan Seng Neo (his wife) and son Yap Kim Chuan (eldest son).
