Dr. Lim Soon Kian / Dr. S.K. Lim is the son of Mr and Mrs. Lim Cheng Wee. Lim Soon Kian studied in Raffles Institution and later graduated from the Hong Kong University. Dr. S.K. Lim, M.b., B.S. (son of Mr. Lim Cheng Wee of the P & Co ) married on 26 June 1917 at Bandjermasin to Miss Thio Kim Loen Neo (eldest daughter of Mr. Thio Soen Yang (the Captain China of Bandjermasin and sister of Mr. Thio Kim Chuan of Aik Leong Chan and Co. of Singapore. The reception was attended by over 400 persons, including the Resident of Borneo, his wife and daughters, the Controller and Secretaries and other leading Government officials and merchants. Dr. Lim has for some time was the house surgeon at the Government Civil Hopital of Hongkong. After marriage, they moved to Singapore where he opened us his practice. Unfortunately the marriage did not last long as just a little over a year after their marriage, Madam Thio Kim Loen passed away due to influenza at 56-8 Neil Road on 26 October 1918.
Dr. Lim Soon Kian was an active member of the Amateur Drawing Association and became its President in 1916. His clinic was Lim Dispensary at 36 High Street and later The New World Dispensary which operated at 492 North Bridge Road. .

Dr. Lim Soon Kian remarried in 17 November 1925 to Madam Yeo Ai Lin (also a widower after her husband passed away in 1920). The marriage notice reads that Yeo A Lin (of 113 Bencoolen Street, only daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. Yeo Tiong Wee of 122 Albert Street) to S.K. Lim, of Lim Dispensary, 36 High Street (eldest son of the Mr. and Mrs. Lim Cheng Wee).

Dr. Lim Soon Kian passed away at the age of 43 on 22 October 1933 due to heart failure. He leaves behind a widow and son. Probate of his estate was given to his widow, Yeo Ai Lin. The address given was No. 177 Bencoolen Street.

Lim Cheng Wee was the Chief Cashier of the P. and O. Co. for over 20 years. He passed away due to apoplexy at the age of 59 on November 10, 1917 at 27-6 Killiney Road, leaving behind his widow and several children.. He was buried at the Alexandra Road Cemetery.
Mother: Lee Kwan Neo
Mrs. Lim Cheng Wee nee Madam Lee Kwan Neo passed away at the age of 57 at 36 High Street Singapore on 13 December 1923 due to apoplexy. She is the mother of Dr. S.K. Lim and Messrs. Oon Beng Teck, Lim Roberts, Lim Soo Chin and several grandchildren. She was buried in Bukit Brown (but affected by the highway construction).

Yeo Ai Lin passed away at the ripe old age of 96 on 11 March 1981. She is survived by her children;

Mrs. Oei Koen Hian, only daughter of Madam Yeo Ai Lin (Mrs. S.K. Lim) passed away at the age of 40 at 170 Bencoolen Street on 11 September 2603 (1943) leaving behind her mother, husband, 2 daughters, and 1 brother (Lim Hap Hin) to mourn her loss. She is buried in Bukit Brown (Block 3 Division A, plot P128) on 14 September 1943.

Lim Hap Hin (proprietor of Messrs. H. H. Lim and Co., only son of Mrs. S.K. Lim) married Miss. Chua Swee Lan (eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chua Tian Chong) in 1936. Lim Hap Hin's name was associated as the President of the Singapore Association of Magicians for many years. Matthew Lim Hap Hin passed away at the age of 92 on 15 May 2007. He is survived by:
