When Tay Siong Guan got married, over 200 people attended the wedding. What is interesting to note from the article, was the food serve was a mixture of Chinese and Mohamedan (Malay) dishes was served. The Gaylads Minstrels provided the entertainment. Tay Siong Guan (the eldest son of Mrs. Tay Kee Choon) married Miss Ee Lee Neo (only daughter of Mr. Ee Ann Poh). The marriage took place at the residence of the bridegroom at Crane Road. In another article, Tay Siong Moh (cousin of Tay Siong Guan) was mentioned to be present as well.
Son: Tay Siong Chuan
Tay Siong Chuan (the youngest son of Mrs. Tay Kee Choon and the late Mr. Tay Kee Choon) got engaged to Miss Yeo Imm Neo (third daughter of Mrs Yeo Keng Chuan and the late Mr. Yeo Keng Chuan. This was reported on 21 May 1940.
There is little information i can find about Tay Kee Choon. The only article that is close to that period of time is an article in 1913 which states that Tay Kee Choon, a Straits-born Chinese was charged at court for being drunk and incapable in Malabar Street. Police constable No.48 found him lying on the road-side helplessly drunk and had to bring him to a police station via a rickshaw. Tay Kee Choon paid a $1 fine and gave the reason that he was left there by his friends.
