Possible connection:
Cheah Kim Bee of Messrs. Cheah Kim Bee stood as independent candidate for the Municipal South in 1949. The article mentions that he has been in business since leaving St. Joseph's Institution. He was an advisor of the Chin Kan Hoey Kuan and is a member of the Island Club, Straits Chinese British Association and the Chinese Chamber of Commerce
He was killed in an airplane crash in 13 January 1951. In that plane, was also Mr. Aw Hoe (third son of Mr. Aw Boon Haw). However i don't enough long tail clues to make the connection complete that Mr. Cheah Kim Bee is the indeed the same person mentioned in this tomb.
Location of tomb
Block 1 Section C, plot P63
It's really strange. In the burial register, Mr. Cheah has an English name - Charles Kenneth.
