Poh Chwee Chiang (Greater Bukit Brown)

Mr. Poh Chwee Chiang passed away and his funeral was held on 22 May 1938. His widow, Madam Teo Geok Neo survived for a few more days before passing away on 30 May 1938.

Madam Teo Geok Neo, wife of the late Mr. Poh Chwee Chiang passed away at the age of 72 on 30 May 1938 at her residence, No 61 Havelock Road. She leaves behind 6 sons, 2 sons-in-law, 4 daughters, 5 daughters-in-law, 4 grandsons-in-law, 34 grandchildren. In the obituary notice, she is listed to be buried in Bukit Timah Cemetery.

Madam Lim Geok Lan passed away at the age of 93 on 13 December 1993, She leaves behind

Family 

Son: Poh Thiam Hock 
In an auction in 1923, Mr. Poh Thiam Hock bought freehold land and house No. 22 and 24 Banda Street for $10,500 (1,302 sq.ft) and $10,700 (1,302 sq ft) respectively. In 1931, he bought a 999 years leasehold land situated at Jurong Road (75 acres for $12,600).

Son: Poh Ah Goh 
In 1933, he bought a 999 years leasehold land situated off Jurong Road (20 acres for $1,200).
From the 16 February 1948 article, i can make out that Poh Ah Goh was a property owner and held a number all over. 





Son: Poh Swee Hoe 
Mr. Poh Swee Hoe of Messrs. Heng Hin and Company, 61 Havelock donated a sum of $300 in China Currency to The China Relief Fund. The money was formerly intended as expenditure for the funeral of his late father, Mr. Ho Chwee Chiang. He played badminton as well.

Mrs. Poh Swee Hoe nee Lim Ai Tee passed away at the age of 84 on 14 August 1994 leaving behind

Daughters: Annie Poh Beng Kiow, Sally Poh Beng Tin, Patsy Beng Choo
Godson: John Chua Liat Kiang  



Mr. and Mrs. Poh Beng Kim after their wedding at their Havelock Road home Singapore on 26 May 1957. (The mentioned of Havelock Road home was the important link for me as well). The bride was formerly Miss Doris Mak (youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mak Kum Hoi). Mr. Poh Beng Kim is a school teacher and the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Poh Swee Hoe. 



Daughter: Poh Lye Neo / Mrs. Soh Noon Hup
Mrs. Soh Boon Hup nee Poh Lye Neo passed away at the age of 73 at 18 Wallich Street on 3 February 1959 . She is buried in Bukit Brown (Block 4 Section C, plot 1554).

Poh Tian Woon passed away at the age of 56 on 21 March 1985.

Tang Cheng Ying passed away at the age of 74 on 7 February 1998.

Daughters; Tang Poh Eng, Veronica ; Tang Poh Kim, Theresa ; Tang Poh Chin, Christina

Its on the part of an area colloquially known as "Gelong Pah 黎弄吧Gelong Pah - fringe of Hokkien Huay Kuan Cemetery and Toa Payoh Cemetery.
