Tan Tiong Seng and Madam Lim Kee Neo (Bukit Brown)

Tan Tiong Seng passed away on 4 September 1930. He was at the time of his death a General Manager of the Oversea Chinese Bank, Ltd., Singapore for the past 3 years. He was 59 years old when he passed away. Tan Tiong Seng came to Singapore in 1890 and worked as a clerk and move up the ladder. He owned considerable property in Singapore. He is survived by his widow and 7 children.

Madam Lim Kee Neo, widow of the late Mr. Tan Tiong Seng passed away on 28 February 1968 at the age of 91 leaving behind;

2 sons; Tan Kheng Chuan, Tan Tee Chock

Daughters; Tan Cheng Hiong, Tan Kheng Yan, Tan Poh Tee, Tan Kheng Yean, Tan Kheng Hwe, Tan Kheng Chwe and Tan Kheng Wan

3 sons-in-law, 2 daughters-in-law, 34 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

The cortege left from No. 15 Draycott Drive for Bukit Brown for Bukit Brown on 1st March 1968.

Hiap Ann Sago Factory / Hiap Chin Pearl Sago Factory of Tan Kheng Chuan 

In 1937, it was reported that the partnership that subsisted between Tan Kheng Chuan, Tan Tee Hoon, Tan Tee Chai, Tan Kheng Yan and Gan Keng Hock carrying on business business as dealers in sago flour and sago pearl at No. 358, Kallang Pudding (off Lorong 17, Geylang, Singapore under the styles of Hiap Ann & Co. and Hiap Chin & Co. has by mutual consent was dissolved as of 2 March 1937. 

All debts due to and owing by the said late firms will be received and paid respectively by Tan Kheng Chuan who will continue the business under the style of or firm of Hiap Ann Sago Factory
