When i have time, i revisit the Bukit Brown Documentation Website which documents tombs which are affected by the highway and no longer exist and reminisce on who they were and what were their stories, knowing that many remain undocumented despite efforts and in this case, i may not have the photo of this tomb.
Yeo Cheow Yan passed away at the age of 68 on 7 May 1941. Madam Tan Sian Neo passed away at the age of 66 on 9 July 1944. The names of the children listed on their tomb are as follows;
Son: Yeo Kok Ann
Daughters: Yeo Tiam Tee, Yeo Kim Wee
Granddaughter: Yeo Chwee Neo
From the newspaper archives, Mr. Yeo Cheow Yan was a cashier of Messrs. Mansfield and Co. Ltd He passed away on 7 May 1941 at the age of 68 at the General Hospital and is survived by his wife, a son, 2 daughter and 1 son-in-law.
