It a newspaper article it was written that Sim Ann Kiat age 67 of Sim Ban Thong Ltd passed away peacefully on 3 May 1964 leaving behind one elder brother, Sim Ann Tuan, 2 widows, 10 sons,9 daughters, 2 daughters-in-law, 6 sons-in-law and 14 grandchildren to mourn his loss. The cortege left from 290A Kampong Bahru Road for Bukit Brown. Services was conducted by the Hon. Dhammasukha of the Buddhist Union.

CHOP SIM BAN THONG
Chop Sim Ban Thong is located at 15 Boat Quay and the sole proprietor in 1932 of the company was Sim Ann Tuan (brother of Sim Ann Kiat). In 1940, licensed Singapore rice dealer, Sim Wan Kiat who was the managing partner of Chop Sim Ban Tong of South Canel was charged and found guilty of selling rice to another dealer at above controlled prices. He was fined a total of $180 on 2 charges in the Singapore court on15 August 1940.

Sim Cheng Lian passed away at the age of 63 at 130 Chin Swee Road on 2 August 1932. He leaves behind 2 sons; Sim Ann Tuan and Sim Wan Kiat, 2 daughters-in-law, 6 grandsons and 6 granddaughters.
Madam Tan Ho Neo passed away at the age of 51 leaving behind her husband, 2 sons (Sim Ann Tuan and Sim Wan Kiat), 2 daughters-in-law and 12 grnadchildren.

Madam Mary Lim Geok Hoe passed away on 29 April 1978 leaving behind 8 sons, 8 daughters (eldest deceased), 7 sons-in-law, 6 daughters-in-law, 26 grandchildren and 1 great grandchildren.
