Tan Teck Yam and family (Bukit Brown)

Tan Teck Yam (alias Bah Chee) passed away peacefully at his residence, No 79 Lengkok Tiga off Changi Road ( 5 3/4 miles stone) on Friday, 4th September, 1936 at the age of 62 leaving behind his wife, Madam Ong Leong Neo, 3 sons, Mr. Tan Hood Keng, Mr. Tan Hood Hin and Mr. Tan Hood Bee, 4 daughters, 1 son-in-law Mr. Lee Jim Lock, 1 daughter-in-law, 2 "Gua Soon"grandsons, 3 "Lye Soon" grand-daughters and 4 "Gua Soon" grand-daughters to mourn their loss. The funeral took place on Thursday, 10 September 1936 with the cortege leaving residence at 10 am for burial at Bukit Brown Cemetery. His wife, Madam Ong Leong Neo passed away on 15th April 1966, age 83

The 1936 obituary notice only list the name of the sons, but fortunately from the tomb, we can find out the name of the daughters and grandchildren.

Sons: Mr. Tan Hood Keng, Mr. Tan Hood Hin and Mr. Tan Hood Bee
Daughters: Tan Seok Neo, Tan Im Neo, Tan Beng Neo, Tan Chye Neo
Grandsons: Tan Kim Hean, Tan Kim Peng
Grand-daughters: Tan Chwee Neo, Tan Yee Neo, Tan Lim Neo, Tan Cheng Neo
