Tan Poey Teng passed away at the age of 50 at his house at No 36 Eng Hoon Street on 21 August 2603. (1943) He leaves behind is wife, Ang Cheow Liang, a mother, 2 sisters, 1 brother, 1 brother-in-law, 5 daughters, 4 sons, 1 son-in-law, 2 adopted daughters and 1 adopted son. From his tomb the name of his children that are engraved are as follows;

Daughters: Tan Annie Neo, Tan Nellie Neo, Tan Maggie Neo, Tan Teck Neo, Tan Peggy Neo

Tan Hood Choe passed away at the age of 62 on 22 January 1925 at his residence, "Hood Lodge", 510 Kampong Bahru Road. He is the father of Tan Bian Wan, Tan Poey Teng, Tan Seng Neo,Tan Bock Hua and father-in-law of Poh Kim Yong.

Madam Ang Cheow Lian nee Mrs Tan Poey Teng passed away at the age of 93 on 16th May 1996. From her obituary notice i can get more details about their family.

and another 7 grandson, 2 granddaughters, and several great grandchildren. The cortege left from 36 Eng Hoon Street to Chua Chu Kang Burial ground.

The engagement was announced on 18 November 1945 between Ronald Lim (Chiang) adopted son of Mr. & Mrs. Lim Boon Seng (5th son of Mr. & Mrs. Chiang Tan Kwee) and Miss Nellie Tan (2nd daughter of Mrs. Tan Poey Teng and the late Mr. Tan Poey Teng).  Mr. Ronald Lim (son of Mr. and Mrs. Lim Boon Seng) married Miss Nellie Tan (a daughter of the late Mr. Tan Poey Teng) in January 1948.

Lion City Club

Tan Poey Teng was for many years a Committee member of the Lion City Club.
