There is not much information i can find about Tan Eng Sim, but there was an article in 2 February 1953, 3 months before the death of Mr. Tan Eng Sim of a Netherlands Trading Society dinner  at the Southern Hotel held in honor of its retirees which include Mr. M. F. Gomes, Tan Eng Sim, Mr. Tan Choon Loong and Mr. Ang Teck Siang. If this was true, Mr. Tan Eng Sim would be in the picture below.

Madam Wee Luck Neo passed away at the age of 78  at her residence, No. 43 Cheng Cheok Street on 1 September 1923. She is mother of Mr. Tan Chwee Gim and Mr. Tan Eng Sim. 

Daughter: Tan Kim Choo nee Mrs. Foo Kong Fah

The engagement was announced on 17 October 1954 between Foo Kong Fah (eldest son of Mr. and Mrs Foo Yeow Toong) to Miss. Tan Kim Choo (sister of Mr. Tan Yew Lek). Miss Tan Kim Choo ( daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Tan Eng Sim ) married Mr. Foo Kong Fah in April 1958.
