Tan Cheoh (Bukit Brown)

Tan Cheonh / Tan Cheon passed away at the age of 60 on Sunday, 28 September 1930 at his residence at Pulo Bukom. He leaves behind his widow, 

5 sons; Tan Teck Swee, Tan Teck Eun, Tan Teck Lian, Tan Teck Cheng, Tan Teck Whatt

Funeral on Saturday, 4 October to Bukit Brown from Jardine Steps.

Pulau Bukon to Jardine Steps 

I am not able to find any information about the family of Tan Cheoh, but the article got me curious about Jardine Steps. Jardine Steps is a pier off Keppel Harbour (likely the location of Harbour front today). So the remains of Tan Cheoh came by boat from Pulau Bukom to Jardine Steps.
