John Angelus Morais / J.A. Morais was born on 8 October 1907 and passed away on his birthday on 8 October 1940. He passed away at the age of 33 at the Ipoh District Hospital at 7:30 am, 8 October 1940. Mr. J. A. Morias leaves behind 3 brothers;

John Morais passed away at his residence in Port Trivandrum, Travancore, South India at the age of 75 in June 1934. He leaves behind 4 sons and 2 daughter in Malaya and India.

Mr. John Victor Morais - Branch Managing Editor of the Malayan Tribune, Ipoh was appointed an Unofficial Member of the Perak State Executive Council in 1948.In 1951 he became an Official appointed State Councillor. He is the President of the Kinta Indian Association. In the early days of the liberation, he was Chairman of the Perak Information Bureau which was also responsible for welfare work. J.V. Morais was a treasure of the Ipoh Rotary Club. When the Perak Catholic Association was formed in 1950, its first President was Mr. J.V. Morais.
