The stone carvings of this tableau appears to be from a Journey to the West story - Sun Wukong or Monkey Kong obtained (or rather stole) the iconic magical iron rod weapon from the palace or armory of Ao Guang or Dragon King of the East Sea. The beautiful panel likely depicts the battle that took place during that incident where you can see Monkey God (now with the iron rod) fending off the various defenders and creatures of the Dragon King.
