Nek Mina passed away at the age of 84 on April 9, 1938. She is buried in Hill 4 Section C, plot no 362.
Who is Nek Mina ? Is she a non-chinese lady who married a chinese man and thus buried in Bukit Brown or is Nek Mina a nickname for a nonya chinese lady.All these are speculation, as there are no concrete leads at the moment. What is factual is that Nek Minah will be exhumed as she is affected by the 8 lane highway, and if left unclaimed, her ashes will be deposed at sea.
