Madam Kam Swee Poh nee Mrs Tan Boon Teck passed away at her residence in No 92-4 River Valley Road at the age of 60 on 26 October 1926. She is survived by her widow (Mr. Tan Boon Teck), 1 son, 2 daughters, 1 daughter-in-law, 2 sons-in-law (Messrs. Khoo Peck Hock and Lim Soon Swee) and 15 grandchildren to mourn her loss. Tan Boon Teck was the Proprietor and Manager of Tan Beng Chiang Nurseries, Orchard Road. The company was importers ad exporters of Orchids, Palms and Flowering Plants. It was dealers in all kinds of live animals. Tan Beng Chiang was the Manager of the company. Tan Beng Chiang Nursery was adjacent to the Post Office). There were many advertisements in the papers in the early 1900s that feature this nursery.

Son: Tan Beng Chiang 
On 12th January 1918, Tan Beng Chiang arranged a special Cantonese Wayang performance in aid of the Tientsin Flood Relief Fund at the Alexandra Hall, North Bridge Road. In October 1915, Tan Beng Chiang of the Orchard Road Nurseries and Mr. Harold Abrahamson of Messrs. Garner, Quelch and Co where charged with disorderly conduct. Tan Beng Chiang was sentenced to 14 days imprisonment without and option of fine which he appealed successfully and was ordered to pay a fine of $5. During this period there are several results when searching for Tan Beng Chiang, so it makes identification of him harder.

Daughter: Tan Hock Neo nee Mrs. Khoo Peck Hock 
Madam Tan Hock Neo passed away at the age of 70 on 15th February 1958 at 97 Devonshire Road, leaving behind her husband, Khoo Peck Hock, 3 daughters, 2 sons, 2 sons-in-law (Bertie Tan Hock Chuan and Willie Lim). She was buried in Bidadari. Khoo Boo Jean (eldest son) married Miss Kam Hock Neo (second daughter of the late Mr. Kam Beng Koon and Madam Lim Puan Neo of Beng Seng & Co, Kelantan.)  Her daughter, Jessie Khoo who married Willie Lim in September 1956.
