Kam Kok Cheng (Toa Payoh Cemetery)

Kam Kok Cheng passed away at the General Hospital at the age of 42 on 17 September 1954. From his tomb i can make out his children names;
Son: Kam Yew Hin, Kam Chan Heng, Kam Chan Hin
Daughter: Kam Bee Tin, Kam Chye Wah, Kam Siew Tin

From what i can find, Kam Kok Cheng residence was at 223 Telok Ayer and he was a member of the Forget-Me-Not Party and music arranger of the Mayfair Association. Kam Kok Cheng was also the Division Superintendent in 1941 for the Mansfield House Ambulance Division of the St. John Ambulance.

223 Telok Ayer Street and Kim Gwan & Co

223 Telok Ayer Street was the office of Kim Gwan & Company whose managing partner (1959) was Y.H. Kam (likely to be Kam Yew Hin). The office moved on 2 February 1956 to 37 Upper Pickering Street.  However things took a different turn in 1961, when a notice put up stating Kum Yew Hin has ceased to be the manager of Messr. Kim Gwan & Co. The notice was put up by Madam Lim Kim Hong who was listed as the sole proprietress of Kim Gwan & Co. In July the same year, Madam Lim Kim Hong severed all connections with her eldest son, Kam Yew Hin.

It is from this various articles, i gathered that Madam Lim Kim Hong is likely the wife of the late Kam Kok Cheng and something major happened during the 1956-1961 timeline that lead to the drastic act of disowning of her eldest son, Kam Yew Hin. In 1963, there was a bankruptcy order acted on Madam Lim Kok Hong and Kim Gwan & Company. What happened after that is unknown to me.
