From the newspapers, Tan Tee Cheng passed away at his residence, No. 123G, Cairnhill Road. He leaves behind is wife, 2 daughters, 1 adopted son, 6 grandsons and 1 granddaughter.
In 1938, there was mentioned of a Tan Beng Lee alias Noel Tan who passed away at the age of 24 at his residence, No. 25 Mohamed Sultan Road on 16 January 1938. Tan Beng Lee / Noel Tan was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Tan Tee Cheng.
