  1. The eldest son Wee Yam Tong, was married to my mother's elder sister Mary Seck. As a child, I went to their house in Lorong Pisang Batu (if I recall correctly) in Bukit Timah for family events like Chinese New Year and Christmas. Yam Tong's wife Mary, my Aunt, was a fabulous cook. I have not had better Nasi Bryani or Beef Rendang since those days. And the entire Seck clan (her side of the family) was there and she fed all of them. Yam Tong had a younger brother staying with him at the house, I cannot recall his name. I remember he was a schizophreniac. I am still in touch with Yam Tong's grand daughter Ingrid. - Joseph Chan. Vancouver, Canada.

    1. Anthony Wee Yam Tong was my uncle, my father's brother. I spent a lot of time at their house on Lorong Pisang Batu. Wee Yam Khoon was the uncle you mentioned staying with them. Anthony's sister, Emmie Lim (need Wee) lived next door to them with her husband Frank. All of the cousins were close growing up, and yes the Peranakan food was amazing. Mary was my piano teacher.
