Mr. Tan Liang Pin passed away at the age of 47 on 23 March 1941. Listed on his tomb are the name of his children,

Parents: Tan Sim Poey and Low Guat Hui Neo 
Tan Sim Poey of Poh Hin and Co. passed away at the age of 74 at his residence, 107, Chin Swee Road in October 1934. She leaves behind a widow, 4 sons, ( Tan Tiang Koon, Tan Tiang Siew, C.M. Chen and Tan Liang Pin ), 5 daughters-in-law, 10 grandsons, 3 grandsons-in-law, 8 granddaughters, and 1 great granddaughter. 

Mrs. Tan Sim Poey nee Low Guat Hui Neo passed away at the age of 78 at her residence, no. 107 Chin Swee Road on 24 August 2603 (1943) leaving behind 3 sons, Messrs. Tan Tiang Koon, Tan Tiang Siew and Tan Tiang Beng, 3 daughters-in-law, 9 grandsons ( Tan Khek Siong, Tan Khek Seng, Tan Hong San, Tan Khek Cheow, Tan Kek Chye, Tan Hong Chwee, Tan Hong Eng, Tan Khek Hock and Tan Khek Teng, 8 grand-daugthers, 4 grandsons-in-law, Ong Soo Keng, Wee Yong Lee, Ngeow Ser Sin and Lim Cheng Chuan and 3 great grandchildren. Both Mr. and Mrs. Tan Sim Pey are buried in Bukit Brown.

Brother: C.M. Chen / Tan Tiang Beng 
C.M. Chen, co-director of  the Ministry of Communications , Peking was decorated by the President ( reported on 6 June 1923) with the order of Chia Ho. Mr C.M. Chen alias Tan Tiang Beng was born in Singapore and educated at King's College, London and then at Cambridge University where he studied engineering. 

Brother: Tan Liang Seah
Tan Liang Seah married a Miss. Wee (a daughter of Mr. Wee Teow Cheng and grand daughter of Wee Bock Sin of Rhio) in September 1926. (His brother, C.M. Chen was even mentioned in the newspapers to be coming by ship to attend the wedding of his brother, Tan Liang Seah). In 1926 , Tan Liang Seah (youngest son of Mr. Tan Sim Poey) leaves for China to take up and appointment in the Ministry of Communications.  What happened to Tan Liang Seah ? When is father and mother passed away in 1934 and 1943, his name was not mentioned. (Possibly passed away)
