Pasir Panjang Military Cemetery was a small military cemetery located in a former British military complex on Ayer Rajah Road. It contains the graves of 714 British, Commonwealth and Gurkha service personnel and their families who died during the period of March 1948 until March 1957. Also there are remains of 186 service personnel and their families exhumed from pre-war graves in Bidadari Christian Cemetery in 1964. These graves are placed in the first few rows to the left and right of the entrance. With the exception of the pre-war graves, the cemetery is divided into two halves, with Christians buried on the left and Hindus (mainly Gurkhas) buried on the right.
