Tan Hong Beng (Bukit Brown)

Tan Hong Beng passed away at the age of 33 on 26 May 1922. His tomb is very unique because of the epitaph and the use of roman numerals for his date of death.

XXVI - V -XXII (26-5-22)

This tablet is erected by his friends,
the members of the Lion City Club
Rare as is true love,
true friendship is rarer.
