Chia Gek Seah and Chew Leng Choo (Bukit Brown)

This tomb is interesting as it list in English, the name of a 6 year old boy - Master Chia Gek Seah who passed away at the age of 6. From the newspapers archives, Chia Gek Seah passed away at 6 years old on 24 October 1931. He is the second son of Mr. and Mrs. Chia Soon Kim (Madam Koh Leng Choo), 60 Koek Road.

On the other right marble panel, it reads the name of son, Chia Soon Kim. The name of the grandson is buried under years of soil [postnote: The name of the grandson is Chia Choo Seah). Fortunately the chinese name is there and there is a record of a Madam Chew Leng Choo who passed away at the age of 81 at her residence on No 29 Exeter Road off Killiney Road  on 3 January 1934. She is the mother of Chia Soon Kim and grandmother of Chia Choo Seah.

In short, this tomb is very interesting as it holds the remains of a young boy who passed away in 1931 buried together with his grandmother who passed away in 1934.
