Mrs. Lee Hoon Leong (nee Mark Hup Sin) is the mother of Dr. Lee Choo Neo, Mr. Lee Chin Yam of Borneo Motors and Mrs. Teo Kim Kheng. She passed away on 25th April 1939 at the age of 68 at her residence 74-3 Bras Basah Road. (The address is familiar because it the clinic of her daughter, Dr. Lee Choo Neo).

In 1940, Lee Chin Yam was charged with misappropriation and falsification of accounts (criminal breach of trust and found guilty and sentence to 2 years' imprisonment in February 1941. Lee Chin Yam passed away in Penang on 30 July 1944.

Lee Choo Neo was the first Straits Settlement woman to obtain the Senior Cambridge Certificate in 1911 and in 1919 became the first Chinese woman to graduate in Medicine and was appointed Lady Assistant Surgeon at the General Hospital. Dr. Lee Choo Neo married Teo Koon Lim (son of Teo Chye Hong) at 114 Emerald Hill on 21st September, 1922 and had 1 son (Teo Cheng Ann) and 2 daughters ( Eileen Teo Cheng Sim and Winnie Teo Cheng Kim) .After several years in the government service, she resigned and followed her husband to Kuala Lumpur who had business there. She returned to open her own clinic at 74-3 Bras Basah Road.Dr. Lee Choo Neo passed away on 7 September 1947, after a short illness.

He left behind his wife; Ko Lin Neo, 3 sons; Lee Chin Yam, Lee Chin Koon and Lee Chin Tong, 5 daughters ; Dr Lee Choo Neo ( Mrs Teo Koon Lim ), Lee Siok Neo, Lee Leng Neo (Mrs Teo Kim Kheng), Lee Wee Neo ( Mrs. Tan Teng Ban ), Lee Kim Neo ( Mrs. Chua Keng Hoe ) and 28 grandchildren to mourn his lost. He is buried in Hill 1 Section C, plot number, P24
