Soh Hood Beng passed away at the age of 76 at his residence, No. 119 Devonshire Road on 2 January 1925. He leaves behind his widow, 3 sons, Soh Yiew Jin, Soh Yiew Geok, Soh Yiew Kim, 2 daughters-in-law, 2 daughters; sons-in-law, Tan Yean Kay and Chia Kheng Kiat and 9 grandchildren.
