This is my second time meeting Herman Sing. The first time was back in 28 March 2020. He is continuing this intangible cultural heritage tradition of paying respects to his Great Grandfather (surname: Sim) and offerings in proxy for his Great Grand Uncle as well as for his Aunt who died as an infant. This time around, Herman is not alone but his Aunty Betty Sim was also present. I was fortunate to be around on a Sunday morning and kapoh (busy body) enough to walk over and say hi ! Fortunately he remembered me ! You can see from the tomb, separate sets of food prepared for 3 people.
An interesting nugget from 2 years ago he shared with me: His surname is actually Sim, but somehow sometime ago, during registration for identity card, this mistake happened for his father. His uncle side got it right though !
