Tan Tew Neo alias Tan Nyachik (late of Killiney Road) passed away at the age of 66 years at No. 775, North Bridge Road on 9th November 1931. She is the mother of the late Mr. Wee Keng Hoe of the K.P.M. and the mother-in-law of Mr. Ngeow Nian Chin. Madam Tan Nyachik leaves behind a daughter and son-in-law, a grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ngeow Ser Lim, a grandson, Mr. Ngeow Ser Sin, grandson-in-law and granddaughter, Mr. and Mrs. Wee Cheng Woo, a granddaughter, Miss Ngeow Ngim Neo, a great grandson, Mr. Ngeow Yoong Kee, a nephew and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Cheang Keam Kiong and a daughter, a daughter-in-law and her daughters to mourn her loss. Mr. and Mrs. Ngeow Nian Chin and family thanked friends, relatives, members of the Soon Hoe Kok, Gaylads Minstrels and the International Buddhist Union for their attendance.

What is interesting to note is Wee Keng Hoe passed away a year before her mother (on 12th April 1930) and her daughter name clearly list not only her maiden name but who she was married too.

Wee Keng Hoe passed away at the age of 46 at his residence, No. 30-B Killiney Road on 12th April 1930 leaving behind a mother, wife and 2 daughters.
