I came across this burial entry in the burial registrar of Ng Chwee Leng and Ng Chwee Lian while researching. What surprised me was the names sounded like they were brothers and sisters and secondly they were 1 year apart from each other and Ng Chwee Leng died at the age of 17 while his sister, Ng Chwee Lian was 16. Both were buried on the same day on 3 June 1930 and are side by side.
I also got a bit of insight of burial customs of that time shared to me by Raymond Goh. In the case of Ng Chwee Leng's tomb i found that children name were added (承繼男), probably to give a sense of continuity for Ng Chwee Leng by placing "adopted" children to his tomb. His sister's tomb does not have any adopted children name listed.
